and keep my tongue from sin;<br />
I will put a muzzle on my mouth<br />

not even saying anything good.<br />
But my anguish increased; <o:p></o:p></span></p>

the span of my years is as nothing before you.<br />
Everyone is but a breath,<br />

in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth<br />

My hope is in you. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

listen to my cry for help;<br />
do not be deaf to my weeping.<br />

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. <sup><span> </span></sup>The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.<span>  </span>I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>

Lord God, heavenly King, Almighty God and Father;<br />
We worship you, we give you thanks,<br />
We praise you for your glory.<br />
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Son of the Father.<br />
Lord God, Lamb of God<br />
You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us;<br />
You are seated at the right hand of the Father, receive our prayer.<br />
For You alone are the Holy One,<br />

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. <sup><span> </span></sup>And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’“ <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.<span>  </span>And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? <sup><span> </span></sup>I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Bring your prayers too the Lord, with an open heart.<span>  </span>Pray that God would bring justice to where there is injustice.<span>  </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; color: maroon">The Lord’s Prayer<o:p></o:p></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Our Father in heaven,<br />
hallowed be your name,<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">your kingdom come,<br />
your will be done,<br />
on earth as it is in heaven.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Give us today our daily bread.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">And forgive us our debts,<br />
as we also have forgiven our debtors.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

but deliver us from the evil one.<br />
